This week went by so fast. It was pretty good for us, but I’m ready for the weekend!
Today I took Sully AND Nico for a stroll together…something I’ve never attempted until now. I was amazed at how well behaved Nico was on the leash when walking alongside the stroller. She went right into business mode and didn’t try any of her typical funny business we deal with on walks (like grabbing every. Single. Piece. Of. Trash.)
Sully hasn’t been napping as long as he used to. I joined a Facebook group on sleep training and posted his sleep schedule there to get some feedback. Everyone was of the opinion he needed a much earlier bed time (5:30 instead of 8!). So, today he started getting cranky at 4:30. I made him a quick dinner of Quinoa Broccoli Cheese Bites (made these ahead and froze them, will post the recipe soon!), hummus, raspberries, and dates. A much more baby-centric meal than the typical stuff I give him from our dinners.
He loved it! Afterwards, I bathed him and then tried entertaining him as long as I could. He just wasn’t having it, though. He was SO cranky. At 6pm I caved and put him to bed. I’ve never put him to bed this early and I’m skeptical how this will turn out.
On the plus side, I got to cook dinner and open a bottle of wine while he was asleep. Pete cleaned the house, and I even did a little Swiffering of the floors. I could get used to this early bed time!
Tomorrow morning we wake up and run 7 miles for half-marathon training. Fingers crossed Sully can tolerate the stroller that long!
