I have been so excited to celebrate holidays with Sully. Since he was born in January, he just barely missed the big three holidays (Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas) so I’ve been anxiously waiting for this time of year to get here. Finally, it has arrived! So I am diving into the holiday spirit. I decorated for the Fall/Halloween/Thanksgiving season, and we listened to Halloween music on Pandora all throughout October. We read Halloween books. Visited a pumpkin patch. Sang spooky songs. I did whatever I could think of to get a nine month old in the Halloween spirit!
Halloween itself was rained out, but luckily they moved trick-or-treating to the night before. Unfortunately this didn’t leave us with a lot of time to get Sully ready or take pictures of his costume before it got dark (since Pete had to work that day). My biggest regret is how few pictures I took! We had a group of friends and their kids come by to trick-or-treat in the neighborhood. Sully rode in his new wagon (which I got from Toys R Us last week; they price-matched Amazon at the checkout so we got a fantastic deal!).
Can you guess who Sully was? Mr. Fredrickson from Up! He refused to wear the glasses, of course. We couldn’t even get a decent picture of him wearing them for a second, unfortunately! The glasses really made the costume. He was adorable anyway, though. And I was shocked that one person guessed who he was! The balloons on the back of his wagon were the biggest clue.
Next year, I plan to go with an easier costume (something he will actually wear) and take way more pictures BEFORE we leave for trick-or-treating.
I hope everyone had a fun Halloween!
